나는 한때 길 잃었으나 이제 찾아졌고
was blind, but now I see.
눈이 멀었으나 이제 봅니다.

그 은혜가 내 마음에 두려움을 가르쳤고
and grace my fears relieved.
그 은혜가 내 두려움을 거두었습니다.
How precious did that grace appear
얼마나 귀한지요! 그 은혜가 나타났다는 것이
the hour I first believed!
내가 처음 믿었던 그 시간에

Through many dangers, toils and snares
수많은 위험과 고난과 유혹들을 지나
I have already come.
나는 이미 여기까지 왔습니다.
‘Tis(It is) grace that brought me safe thus far
그 은혜가 지금까지 나를 안전하게 인도하였고
and grace will lead me home.
그 은혜가 나를 본향으로 인도할 것입니다.

우리가 그기서 만년을 보낼 때

태양처럼 밝게 빛나는 그곳에서
